Private Health Insurance Many private health insurance policies provide coverage for substance abuse treatment. With insurance provided through your employer, as with all healthcare services, there are strict regulations prohibiting insurance companies from sharing information with employers when services are utilized. Treatment services include a comprehensive assessment, treatment planning, goal setting, one-on-one counseling, relapse prevention, groups focusing on addiction, health and wellness, and life skills.
